Basic Copy Operations

Copying Onto Manually Fed Paper

To copy using the Manual Bypass Tray

1Load the document to be copied.

Refer to “Loading the Document” on page 4-1.

2Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper, and then insert one sheet of paper with the front

side facing down, lightly sliding the paper as much as possible into the feed slot.

The manual bypass mark appears in the bottom line of the screen.

?Is a card or a postcard loaded?

Make sure that it is not curled (rolled).

3Press the [No] key (“RESET”), and

then use the and keys to select the type of paper loaded.

4Press the [Yes] key.

5Using the and keys, select the size of paper loaded.

If “OHP” was selected in step 3, set the paper size to Letter C or Letter L.
