14.6Power Outages

Even if a power outage occurred, transmission and reception information are stored in the memory for about 10 hours. After 10 hours, all stored information is lost. If a document is lost due to a power outage, a memory clear report is automatically printed after the power is restored and the machine is turned on.

With this report, the document number and recipient information for the lost fax can be retrieved.

Information programmed in one-touch dial keys are not lost during a power outage. There is no need to re-program the one-touch dial keys.

If there is a power outage or the machine is turned off, calls cannot be made or received.

If a telephone not powered by electricity is connected to the machine, the telephone can be used, even during a power outage.

The telephone where documents are stored for two hours cannot be used to make or receive calls.
