1-8 Alternative Destination
During the keypad entry procedure for basic transmission, you can designate two destinations. If the
first choice of destination cannot be reached, the machine will send the message to the alternative lo-
cation. If the first destination is reached, the alternative will be disregarded. This is useful if the person
you are sending to has two fax machines.
1. Place the document in the feeder.
2. Select the contrast, resolution,
page count, and department
code.
Do not use the handset.
3. Dial.
4, Press Yes .
5. Dial the alternative destination.
6. Press start .
Note: If the first destination is busy, your unit will wait for one minute before dialing the alternative lo-
cation. If the alternative is also busy, your unit will redial the first location about four minutes
later.
Both numbers will be redialed until one of them answers, or until the limit expires (2 redials per
destination).
This feature is not available for polling, transfer request, or transmission from memory.
