3.USING THE UNIT FOR TELEPHONE CALLS

3-1 Making a Telephone Call

There are two ways.

. Using On Hook – You do not use the handset. Dial on the fax terminal keypad.

. Using the handset — Just like a regular telephone set.

USING ON HOOK DIALING

USING THE HANDSET

1.Make sure that the unit is in standby mode.

2.Press On Hook .

Do not pick up the handset.

3. Dial using the fax terminal’s keypad, Either:

. Quick Dial

. Speed Dial

. Full telephone number

DO NOT PRESS Start (unless you are dialing a fax machine and do not wish to speak to the other end).

4.Listen to your terminal’s built-in speaker. When the other party answers, pick up the handset.

5.Replace the handset at the end of the conversation.

Note : You can dial on the fax machine’s keypad using Quick Dial, Speed Dial, or full numbers if you wish.

4.Use the handset as you would use a regular telephone.

5.Hang up at the end of the conver- sation.
