2-6 NewFileReport

This report is printed immediately after you store a documentin memory. It gives the file number,

time offending, and destinations (including any Group numbers you used).

2-7 Memory Transmission Report

If Function 56 is on, this report is automatically printed after every memory transmission, whether it was successful or not.

For your reference, a sample of the stored message can be printed below the report if the transmission failed. If you wish to enable this feature, call your service representative.

If the transmission failed, an error message may also be printed. The messages are the same as those for the New Polling File Report (see item 2-5 on the previous page).

Note: Occasionally, a fractional number will appear in the Pages column. For example, 1/2 means that two pages were stored but only one could be sent.

2-8 Power Failure Report

If the power fails or is switched off, all documents stored in the memory (including forwarding files, transfer files, confidential and substitute receptions, and any ECM received data) will be erased. When power is restored, a power failure report is printed, informing you of the files that were lost.

Notes: . Check the File Type column. If there are any files given as FORWARDING, TRANSFER, CONFIDENTIAL RX, SUBSTITUTE RX, or ECM FILE, a received fax message was erased (substitute reception is explained in the “Receiving Fax Messages” section). To find out who sent these files so that you can ask them to resend, look in the Remote Terminal Identification column.

For an explanation of the Pages column, see item 2-7 above (Memory Transmission Re- port).

. If there is an E in the Result column, the communication failed but the message was still stored. The code after the E has the same meaning as for the Polling File Report (see item 2-5 on the previous page).
