1-4 Confidential Transmission
If the other end has memory and the confidential reception feature, you can use confidential trans-
mission. The other end can only print the message after they enter their terminal’s programmed pass-
word (see Function 89, page 25).
For extra security, you can specify the password for the message. This personal password will
override the password that theotherterminal user has previously stored intheir machine, which would
normally be used for printing confidential messages. Co-ordinate with the receiver operator before
using this
terminal.

Confidential transmission can not take place if the receiving terminal has no memory, or if
the receiver’s memory is full.
Only one address can be designated, but alternative destination can be used (page 59).
Confidential transmission cannot be made from memory.
