6. USER MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
To ensure that your terminal continues to operate smoothly, some simple maintenance is required.
This entails cleaning afew components and replacing the ozone filter. These procedures should be
done every time your change the cleaning unit.
When it is time to change the cleaning unit, the display panel will show “REPLACE CLEANING KIT”.
For your convenience, amaintenance kit is provided with each new cleaning unit.
The components that require cleaning are illustrated below.
Detailed procedures follow the illustrations.
6-1 Document Feed Section
Clean the machine by using the cleaning pen and cloth provided.
Before cleaning the machine, dampen the cleaning cloth.
First, switch off the power.
