2.Press the key that you want to program.

Example : Press 01 .

Press No if you pressed the wrong key. Repeat step 2.

Notes:

1.If USED AS PROGRAM KEY is displayed, this key already contains a keystroke program. Either:

. Erase the program — preSS

Clear . Go to step 3.

. Choose another key — Press

No Go to step 2.

Store a non-fax telephone number — Press Yes , then

No Go to step 6.

2.If FAX # 01 Y/N/C and a fax number is displayed, this key is already programmed.

Either:

. Go on to program the tele- phone number and label – Press Yes . Go to step 6.

Delete the number — press

Clear . Go to step 3.

. Choose another key — Press

No Go to step 2.

3.Enter the number at the built-in ten-key pad. This must be a fax number.

Note: If you do not want to store a fax number, press No and go to step 6.

Example: 2135558632

To correct a mistake:

Press Clear to go back one space.

— Press No to clear the whole number.

Note for PBX users:

If your machine is behind a PBX, you will need to include the access code and a pause before the number, if the number is en an outside line.

Example: Access Code is 9

Press 9 Pause/Redial

Then enter the number.

Notes:

1.For international numbers, you must place a pause after the country code. Use the Pause/ Redial key.

2.If you are going to use the num- ber as a broadcaster or end re- ceiver in a Transfer Request operation at any time, you may have to enter the international dialing code, then a pause, then the country and area codes, then a pause, then the number. See the bottom of page 54 for more information.
