4 ADVANCED FEATURES

1-6 Polling Transmission

This feature allows you to leave a document in the feeder fora remote terminal to pick up (polling can- not be done from memory). Reception can take place as normal after you have set up a polling trans- mission.

Note: Polling transmission

can be

either free

or

secured.

 

 

Free polling –

ID codes

will

not

be

checked. Any terminal

can poll

yours.

Secured polling –

ID codes

will

be checked. If a machine with

a different

ID code tries to poll

 

your terminal, it will not succeed.

 

 

 

For extra security, you can specify an ID code for this message. The other

 

end will have to enter this code to pick up the message, instead of their

 

programmed
