INSTALLATION
STEP 1
CONNECT THE TELEPHONE TO THE MACHINE
Connect the coiled cord into the jack on the machine marked TEL (either TEL 1or TEL 2).
STEP 2
CHOOSE YOUR DIALING METHOD
The dial switch on the side of the phone can
be set for tone (TT) or dial pulse (DP) tele-
phone service. Make sure you choose the
correct dialing method —tone dialing will not
work if you have adial pulse (rotary) service.
This switch is usually set only once when you
first install the telephone. If you change the
dialing method, you must hang up after reset-
ting the switch.
STEP 3
CHECK FOR DIAL TONE
Lift the handset and listen for adial tone. If
you can not hear adial tone, check the
connection, modular jack, and plug.
OPERATION
ANSWERING CALLS AND HANGING UP
To get adial tone or to answer an incoming
call, lift the handset from the base. To hang
up, either replace the handset in the base or
simply press the Hook Switch.
RINGER VOLUME CONTROL
The ringer volume control switch allows
ringing at High, Middle, or Low volume.
