Setting Views in the Volume Data Set

Three-dimensional image processing allows you to cre- ate images in any orientation and position within the data volume.

You can "move" through the volume and rotate it in any direction. Depending on the method you are using, various aids are available to you.

Rotating around one axes (oblique cut planes)

For oblique slices, you rotate a slice about one axis of the patient coordinate system starting from the stan- dard view.

The orientation is displayed in the image as a combina- tion of two orientation labels.

One of the two reference lines in the image is now dot- ted. The corresponding plane is therefore oblique in relation to the displayed image.

Rotating around two axis (double-oblique cut planes) You obtain cut planes in two axes whenever you rotate one slice around two different patient coordinate axes one after the other.
