To display the communication settings

1.Type o. The Option Menu displays.

2.Type i. The System Installation Submenu displays.

3.Type o. The Communications Setup screen displays (shown right).

4.To change the Communication port, press Enter. A pop-up ports window displays.

5.Highlight the desired port and press

Enter.

6.Verify (change if required) that the communication parameters are correct per the first paragraph of this section.

7.Verify (change if required) that the modem and modem/DIU initialization strings are correct; these strings are sent to modems when using the DKAdmin/DKBackup Dial DK option:

Direct Modem Initialization: AT; sent to modem connected directly to DKAdmin/ DKBackup PC COM port or modem installed in DKAdmin/DKBackup PC.

Note If using a fax/modem, you may have to enter &Q6 to the modem initialization string.

Modem/DIU Initialization: ATS0=1 S2=43 E0 Q0 &C1 &D2 V1 &W0 8Y0; sent to modem connected to a PDIU-DS modem pool.

8.Press Esc to close the screen.

ReIndex Files

To reindex files

1.From the Options Menu, type u. A pop-up box displays.

2.Press Enter to select ReIndex Files and the files are automatically reindexed.

3.Press Esc to return to the Options Menu.
