A trap

message

is

sent

to

the

6416SW

local

console when

a configuration change is

made

or when

an error

occurs in

the ATM subsystem.

 

For

example,

if

an

ATM module

is

removed

from

a ONcore hub, a message describing

this

change

is

sent

to

the

console. A

sample

message is

shown here:

The first field in the trap message is described in Table 7-1. The other fields of information that can appear are self-explanatory and depend on the type of trap received.
