Accessing the 3Com MIB and atswitch.mib

The 3Com Management Information Base (MIB) for the Integrated Systems Division

describes		commands	that	enable		you	to	manage		3Com	SNMP-based products. The
MIB	is available over			the	Internet		on	an	anonymous		FTP server. Updates to these
MIBs	are	released	as	new	3Com	products			are	introduced.

To access Internet versions:

1.FTP toftp.3com.com (192.156.136.12).

2.Enter the login anonymousame .

3.Enter your full Internet e-mail address as the password (for example,

jdoe@company.com).

4. Change to the mib or schema directorycd /pub/3comusing the-mibscommand.

5. To view the 3Com MIB, OID, or schema entries,ls -lcommandenter. the

To pause the display, press [CTRL-S].

To continue the display, press [CTRL-Q].

6.Copy the MIB, OID, or schema files to your current directory using the appropriat command (for example,get atswitch.mib).

7.To exit the FTP session, invokequit commandthe.
