Air Intake Piping / Charge Air piping

Inspect the air intake piping, daily, for cracked hoses, loose clamps, or punctures that could damage the engine with particular attention to the two connections (1&2) between the air cleaner and turbocharger..

Tighten or replace parts, as necessary, to make sure the air intake system does not leak..

Torque Value: 8..5 N·m (75 in-lbs)

Check for corrosion of the intake system piping

 

under the clamps and hoses.. Corrosion can allow

 

corrosive products and dirt to enter the intake system..

 

Disassemble and clean as required..

Inspect the two charge air pipes (3) and four connection

hoses (4) for cracks, loose clamps, or punctures that

could damage the engine..

Tighten or replace parts, as necessary, to make sure the charge air system does not leak..

Torque Value: 7..35 N·m (65 in-lbs)
