How to Install the Support Tools Node

Installation Step 6

You can install the Support Tools Node on any ICM node that you want to manage through Support Tools. Note that the Node Agent is automatically included in the Support Tools Server installation; a separate installation of the node on this machine is not required.

Note: Before installing the Support Tools Node, ensure that the machine meets the prerequisite hardware and software requirements.

Caution: In some instances, the Support Tools Node installation may require a reboot to complete. For this reason, it is strongly suggested that you perform the installation during a regular maintenance period when the machine is in off- production mode.

The Support Tools 1.0(1) CD includes a Node Install Wizard that installs the:

Support Tools node agent

Support Tools Web utilities and certain Unix-style common utilities.
