Selecting Password Protection

Use the Password option to set password security options for access to setup menus. To set password options, highlight Password on the System Manager menu and press the Enter key. The following message is displayed to warn you that data may be lost:

Data May Be Destroyed

Hit ENTER to Continue or RESET to abort

Press the Reset key to abort the function without changing the security level, or press the Enter key to display one of the following security level choices: Disabled, System Manager Menu, or All Menus.

Press the Enter key to toggle through the security level choices. Each time you press the Enter key, the warning message is displayed. Press the Enter key again to display the next security level choice.

Press Reset to return to the System Manager menu with no changes made, or use the Down Arrow key to highlight Enter Password and follow the directions in “Enter Password,” on Page 7-6.

Note: If you change keyboard styles (that is, the physical keyboard, not just the keyboard type), the system may not recognize the password when you enter it on the new keyboard.
