Operating the Dual Screen Features

Select Left

Press the Select Left key ( ) to position the cursor in the session on the left side of the display when the display is in side-by-side format. The Select Left key operates in zoom and side-by-side modes. The session on the left side is now the active session and receives immediate screen updates. The session on the right side is “frozen,” which means it does not display new screen updates until it becomes the active session. The Select Left key has no effect if the left side session is already active.

Select Right

Press the Select Right key ( ) to position the cursor in the session on the right side of the display when the display is in side-by-side format. The Select Right key operates in zoom and side-by-side modes. The session on the right side is now the active session and receives immediate screen updates. The session on the left side is “frozen,” which means it does not display new screen updates until it becomes the active session. The Select Right key has no effect if the right side session is already active.

Reverse Keys

In some environments, you must use the Alt-F1 through Alt F9 keys to perform the functions of the Zoom, Select Left, Select Right, and Swap keys. To map the Alt-F1 through Alt-F9 keys, press Alt-F10 once to make the default keys function as they do on the IBM 3192. Press Alt-F10 again to map the keys back to their default settings.

See your system administrator to determine whether or not the default keys are correct for your system.

	Press and hold the Alt key while you press the F1 key to perform

Alt-F2	This key combination can be assigned the Select Right function.
	Press and hold the Alt key while you press the F2 key to perform
(Select Right Alternate)
	the Select Right function.
Alt-F3	This key combination can be assigned the Zoom function.
	Press and hold the Alt key while you press the F3 key to perform
(Zoom Alternate)
	the Zoom function.
Alt-F9	This key combination can be assigned the Swap function.
	Press and hold the Alt key while you press the F9 key to perform
(Swap Alternate)
	the Swap function.
