1-5	Any	On = One direction; Off = Two directions
1-6	Any	On = High speed draft turned off;
		Off = High speed draft turned on
1-7	Any	On = Cut sheet feeder mode is on;
		Off = Cut sheet feeder mode is off
1-8	Down (off)	No skip over perforation
2-1	Any	1483 overrides form length
2-2	Any	1483 overrides form length
2-3	Down (off)	Parallel interface
2-4	Down (off)	Parallel interface
2-5	Down (off)	RS-232C is not used

4019 Datastream Modes

The 1483 supports two datastream modes for the 4019, Personal Printer Data Stream (PPDS) mode and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Emulation mode.

In PPDS mode, the 4019 can print text and graphics from application software designed to support IBM-compatible printers.

In HP Emulation mode, the 4019 can print text and graphics created from software based on the Hewlett-Packard Printer Command Language (PCL) supported by HP LaserJet Series II printers.
