Example

The following example sets a protocol-based classification rule of protocol group 1 to VLAN 8.

Console (config)# interface ethernet ext.8

Console (config-if)#switchport general map protocols-group 1 vlan 8

map mac macs-group

Use the map mac macs-groupVLAN configuration command to map a MAC address or range of MAC addresses to a group of MAC addresses. Use the no form of this command to delete the map.

Syntax

map mac mac-address {prefix-mask host} macs-groupgroup no map mac mac-address {prefix-mask host}

Parameters

mac-address - Specify MAC address to be entered to the group.

prefix-mask - Mask bits. The format is “/n”, where n is an integer number that specifies the number of 1’s in the mask.

host - All 1’s mask. group - Group number
