Example

The following example sets the timeout period before retransmitting an EAP-request frame to the client to 3600 seconds.

Console(config-if)# dot1x timeout supp-timeout 3600

dot1x timeout server-timeout

The dot1x timeout server-timeoutInterface Configuration mode command sets the time that the device waits for a response from the authentication server. To return to the default configuration, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

dot1x timeout server-timeout seconds no dot1x timeout server-timeout

Parameters

seconds — Time in seconds that the device waits for a response from the authentication server. (Range: 1-65535 seconds)

Default Configuration

The timeout period is 30 seconds.

User Guidelines

The actual timeout can be determined by comparing the dot1x timeout server-timeoutvalue and the result of multiplying the radius-server retransmit value with the radius- server timeout value and selecting the lower of the two values.

Example

The following example sets the time for the retransmission of packets to the authentication server to 3600 seconds.
