Parameters

hours-offsetHours difference from UTC. (Range: 12 hours to +13 hours)

minutes-offsetMinutes difference from UTC. (Range: 0-59)

acronym — The acronym of the time zone. (Range: Up to 4 characters)

Default Configuration

Clock set to UTC.

User Guidelines

The system internally keeps time in UTC, so this command is used only for display purposes and when the time is manually set.

Example

The following example sets the timezone to 6 hours difference from UTC.

Console(config)# clock timezone -6 zone CST

clock summer-time

The clock summer-timeGlobal Configuration mode command configures the system to automatically switch to summer time (daylight saving time). To configure the software not to automatically switch to summer time, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

clock summer-time recurring {usa eu {week day month hh:mm week day month hh:mm}} [offset offset] [zone acronym]

clock summer-time date date month year hh:mm date month year hh:mm [offset offset] [zone acronym]

clock summer-time date month date year hh:mm month date year hh:mm [offset offset] [zone acronym]
