< Adding Folders from Your OS
If you’d prefer, you can ad d folders to the D atabase by dragging them from your operat ing system into the Torq
Browser. You can do this using either Explorer for Wind ows or Finder for Mac.
1. Find your desired folders using the tools of your oper ating system (Explorer or Finder).
2. Click and drag the folder from the operat ing system into the Browser.
3. Release the mouse button and the folde r will be added to the Database.
Note: You can also include the subfolders by ho lding the Alt key while dragging the folder into t he Database.
< Searching Specic Database Folders
Clicking on the Database heading will dis play every song contained in the Database in the Fil e List to the right of
the Browser window. If you would like to conne your search t o only a particular folder within the D atabase:
1. Click the (+) in front of the Database heading. The list will expand to show all of the folders contained in the
Database.
2. Click on one of t he folders. The File List will be updat ed to only show the songs contained in that specic
fol der.
< Removing Folders from Database
There are t wo ways to remove folders from the Database. You can either search throu gh the folders currently
listed within the Datab ase and remove them, or you can locate the original folders on your hard dri ves to remove
them.
To remove folders directly from the Databa se:
1. Click the plus sign next to the Databa se. This will drop down a list of all folders assigned t o the Database.
2. When you have found the folder you want to delete, r ight-click it.
3. Choose “Remove from database” from the pop-up menu. The folder will then be removed from the Database
while the original audio les w ill still remain on your hard drives.
To remove folders from the Browser:
1. Use the Browser to locate the original folde r on your computer.
2. Right-click the folder to display t he pop-up menu.
3. Click “Remove from Database” to remove this folder only. If the fold er contains sub-folders that are par t of
the Database, they wi ll remain in the Database.
4. Click “Remove from Database Recur sively” to remove this folder, along with all of its sub-folders, f rom the
Database.
