System Configuration

This chapter describes how to use the Telnet-based management screens to access and configure advanced features of your equipment. You can customize these features for your individual setup. These menus provide a powerful method for experienced users to set up their Router’s system configuration.

System Configuration Features

The Motorola Netopia® Router’s default settings may be all you need to configure. Some users, however, require advanced settings or prefer manual control over the default selections. For these users, Motorola Netopia® Embedded Software Version 8.7.4 provides many advanced system configuration options.

To access the system configuration screens, select System Configuration in the Main Menu and press Return.
