Upgrading the Video Memory

Upgrading the Video Memory

Increased video memory permits you to display higher resolution and more colors. The system board has 1 MB of video memory factory-installed. You may upgrade the video memory to 2 MB.

To upgrade the video memory, follow these steps:

1.Locate the video DRAM upgrade socket labeled U18 and U21 on the system board. See the figure below.

2.Gently insert a video chip into each of the upgrade sockets. Make sure that the pin 1 indicator on the chip matches the notched corner of the socket.
