SETTING UP THE WAN PRIVATE LINE (E1)

You can connect the In-Skin Router (PZ-M650 card is required) to a digital private line (E1). To do this, use the following procedure.

(1)Set line attributes for an E1 Line

(2)Shutting down and restarting the interface for the settings to take effect

(3)Save setting data

(4)Check the status of interface

Setting line attributes for an E1 Line

Set the line attributes of an E1 line if necessary.

The line attributes you can set are a type (default: CRC4) of line code (HDB3) and the number of time slots

for E1 (default: 30 time slots).

If you use default settings, you do not need to perform these settings.

To set line attributes of an E1 line, use the Serial0 in device config mode.

For details, refer to “Router Command Reference Manual”.

NOTE: If you change a line attribute of an E1 line to another, you must shut down and restart the in- terface for the change to take effect.
