Trunk Queuing

CPC-96, CPC-288, and CPC-576 Version 1.0

Description

When you try to originate a call by MCO (enter 9) and all outside lines in a trunk group are busy, the System can call you when a line becomes free. Simply pick up the handset and dial the telephone number when the Trunk Callback alert tone rings.

Operation

To set Trunk Queuing:

Lift the handset.

2.

Enter a trunk access code.

Busy tone

 

 

 

3.

Enter the Callback Request code (default = 3).

 

 

 

 

4.

Replace the handset.

 

 

 

 

5.

Wait for the Trunk Callback alert tone.

 

 

 

To respond to the Trunk Callback alert tone:

Considerations

Response to the Trunk Callback must be within 15 seconds or Trunk Queuing will be canceled.

The Trunk Queuing feature may also be used if you h ear a busy tone when trying to make a call using the MCO Trunk Access feature.
