Objectives and Reader Assumptions

This manual provides a description of the device commands that can be used only with COMSPHERE 3400/4400 Series modems, COMSPHERE 3800 Series modems, COMSPHERE 3900 Series modems, DATAPHONE II Analog Private Line (APL) and DATAPHONE II Direct Distance Dial (DDD) modems, 3600 Series DSUs, and DATAPHONE II Data Service Units (DSUs) managed and monitored by the COMSPHERE 6800 Series Network Management System (NMS).

It is assumed that you are familiar with the operation of these devices, have read the COMSPHERE 6800 Series Network Management System User's/System Administrator's Guide and are familiar with the use of the COMSPHERE 6800 Series Network Management System.
