Setting SANsurfer FC HBA Manager Security

SANsurfer FC HBA Manager security ensures that adapter configuration changes require password authorization. SANsurfer FC HBA Manager prompts for the password when you change the following:

„Adapter parameters

„Flash BIOS

„Adapter driver

„Failover configuration

„Persistent configuration data

„Port configuration

„LUN configuration

„Device replacement

„Password (when you want it changed)

You can change the SANsurfer FC HBA Manager access password for any host connected to your system for which you have administrator or root privileges.

NOTE:

The default SANsurfer FC HBA Manager access password is located in the readme.txt file. To ensure that security is not compromised, change this password after installation.

To set the tool access password for a host:

1.In the SANsurfer FC HBA Manager main window FC/CNA HBA tree, select the host for which you want to set the tool access password.
