Installing a Loopback Connector
Before running the loopback test, you must install a loopback connector on the adapter port. Note the following about the loopback connector:
The loopback connector must be appropriate for the type of FC adapter connector.
Be sure to select the appropriate adapter connector for testing. Each adapter connector appears in the SANsurfer FC HBA Manager main window FC/CNA HBA tree as an adapter port.
NOTE:
Installing the connector stops normal adapter operations.
To install a loopback connector:
1.Disconnect the cable from the appropriate adapter connector.
2.Install the loopback connector on the adapter connector.
Preparing for Normal Adapter Operations
When you complete loopback testing, follow these steps to resume normal adapter operations.
