4.3.3 Contact Closure Control Input Interface

The Zero/Span calibration can be initiated using external control inputs to control optional Zero/Span valves. There are 4 optoisolator type control inputs available and each input is assigned by the software for specific calibration control. Refer to Figure 2-2REMOTE IN PIN ASSIGNMENTS Table and Figure 4-4for interfacing with external device. Refer to Section 8.5 for additional information.

Figure 4-4shows an example of a control input interfacing circuit. The input current through the LED is limited by a built-in resistor to prevent damage due to over-current. Once the desired input channels are properly connected, the user can set up each input to perform specific calibration. The input signal should be a high level (opto closed) with a minimum duration of 1 second.
