Information Checklist

Before starting the IPP installation procedures, make sure that the following items are available or have been performed.

An existing operational TCP/IP network is required. These procedures

Obtain and record the following information:

Gateway address

 

Subnet mask

 

Host name

 

Refer to the glossary for additional information about the Gateway

 

Address and Subnet mask, if needed.

 

 

 

Test the machine to make sure that it is installed fully and functioning

Install the print driver.

If problems are encountered during the installation of the machine, refer to the Problem Solving chapter for assistance.

CAUTION: Do not connect the network cable to the machine until instructed to do so.
