Changing the local administrator account password
The local administ rator account is a built -in Windows account th at has complete access to t he local
system. It has been add ed to the Content Server’s G roups and users list as <machine-
name>\Administrat or with a site manager rol e and cannot be deleted from the list.
This account can be u sed to log into the Conten t Server web interface, th e Windows Server
administration in terface and Remote Deskt op.
Because this accoun t has complete access t o t he Content Server, Cisco recom mends that you
change the local adm inistrator password reg ularly. You may want t o record the new password in a
safe location.
Note: Do not change the loca l administrator acco unt name.

Changing the local administrator account password

1. Go to Management settings > Windows server.
2. Click Set administrato r pas sword.
3. Enter the current password, then the new password twice and click OK.
