Adding and editing Call configurations
Site managers can ad d and edit Call configu rations. The Call config uration is used by a Record ing
alias. See Understanding recording co nfigurations.
To add a new Call configuration:
1. Go to Management settings > Call configurations.
2. Click Add Call configuration.
3. Complete the fields using the table below.
4. Click Save.
You can also use an exist i n g Call configurat i on , change its fields (see below) and then cl i ck Save as.
To edit an existing Call configuration
1. Go to Management settings > Call configurations.
2. Click Edit for the Call configurat ion that you want to u pdate.
3. Change any fields as appropriate using the table below.
4. Click Save.

A meaningful name helps site managers to select
the correct Call configuration when creating or
editing Recording aliases.
Dual video capabilities
Dual video

Dual video capabiliti es are enabled
by default. If dual video is not
required, this capability can be
disabled.
Dual video is often use d so that everyone in a
call can see what is disp layed on a computer
(such as a PowerPoint presentation), as well as
seeing the main vid eo ( ot her participant s). Dual
video is also known as "e xtended video", a
"content channel" ,
H.239 capabilities when using
H.323, or BFCP capabilities when using SIP.

bandwidths when dialing out to create a
conference using a Recor d ing alias with this Call
configuration.

Calls using this Call configuration
are terminated aut omatically after
the specified numb er of minutes.
The default settin g is 0, which means that the call
will never be ended au tomatically. Zero is also
the default value for n ew Call configurati ons.
Support
encryption
Select to allow calls using this Call
configuration to be encrypted.
The Content Server wil l negotiate the level o f
encryption with th e remote endpoint.
Advertized codecs

Select the video codecs to be
advertized for calls using this Call
configuration.
H.261 must be enabled for standards
compliance.
