Watching a conference on your computer
If a conference has d own loadable output s, you can download the co n ference to your comp uter. This
may be better than st reaming the conference , especially if you h ave a maximum download l imit on
your internet conn ection. After the con ference has been saved on your computer, you ca n watch it as
often as you like.
Site managers can specify that downloadable outputs should be created in the Template used for a
conference before th e conference is creat ed . After the conferen ce has been recorded , site managers
or conference editors can add outputs by clicking Edit and then Manage Outputs for the conferen ce.
See Managing con feren ce outputs.
Conferences without downloadable outp u ts do not have the Download link in the View Conferences
> Recorded page.
To download the conference:
1. Go to View Conferences > Recorded page and click Download for t he conference.
2. Select the required form at and size of conferen ce.
3. Click Save and browse to the d i r ect ory in which you want t o save the conference. Click Save.
4. On your computer, go to th e directory used in th e previous step and d oub le-click on the
conference to watch it.
The conference is disp layed in the appr op riate viewer for its form at; that is, in the pr og ram that is the
default to play that type of media file on your co mputer. For examp le, if QuickTime is se t up to always
play .mp4 files and you download an MPEG-4 for Flash file, then it will pla y in Q uickTime if you
double-click on the file.
