Displaying the Groups & users list
The Content Server has on e predefined user - the local administrat or with the default password
TANDBERG. We strongly recomm end that you change th i s p assword - see Changing t he local
administrator accou nt password. Users can access the Content Serve r either as a guest - without the
need to log in (if this is allowed in Site settings) or by logging in (authent i cating). To understan d m ore

Displaying the Groups & users list
To display the list of cu rrent groups and use r s, go to Management settings > Groups and users.
When the list opens, i t shows both groups and users alphabetically b y n ame. The icon for an entr y
tells you whether it i s a group or a user . You can display only groups or only users with the
Show drop-down list.
From the Group s & users list a site manager can :
Edit a group or user b y cl icking Edit. See Adding & updating group s & users.
Delete groups and use rs: select the group or u ser and click Delete selected. You cannot delete
the local administ rator or the user you are log ged in as.
Add a new group or user by clicking Add groups or users. Whether you need to do this
manually depends on a number of factors - see Understanding groups & users. Then for
instructions, se e Adding & updating gro ups & users.

Name
The name of the user or th e Base
DN of the group.
Display
name
The user's display name or the
group's name.
For users, the name sh own in the bottom left
hand corner of the screen when you log in.
Role
One of Site manager, Creator or
Viewer. Viewers can browse an d
view conferences. C r eat ors can
create conferences and can have
Personal Recording aliases. Site
managers have access t o all
functions in order to configure and
manage the Conten t S erver.
If this is a user who is a m ember of a group and
has been added aut omatically to the Conten t
Server, the role displayed is Vie wer even though
their group may have hi g her privileges. Sit e
managers can chang e t he user's role.
If this is a group or user who has been added
manually the role di sp layed is the one set b y a
site manager.
Users can find out their role after they have
logged in by going t o Preferences. See Editing
user preferences.
