Displaying the Template list
A Template determi nes how a conference is record ed, streamed and p l ayed back:
Whether the conferen ce can be streamed live or on ly on demand or both.
Formats supported : for example, Windows Medi a, MPEG-4 for QuickTime, MPEG-4 for Flash or
Real Media.
The sizes for the out p uts.
Outputs for playback i n portable devices (iPod or Zune).
Outputs for upload i ng to your iTunes U accoun t or your Podcast Produce r se rver.
Outputs for downloading to your computer.
The Template forms par t of the definition of a Rec or d ing alias - see Understanding recording
configurations.
There are a number of p r e-d efined Templates. Eq ually, site managers ca n create Templates and
these can be updated , saved as a new Template and deleted if they are not bei ng used in a Recording
alias (when their ch eck box is grayed). When d eciding whether to edi t an existing Template as th e
basis for a new one, or st ar t again, look at how close t he settings you requ i re are to those in an
existing Templat e.
Displaying the Template list
To display the list of current Templates, go to Management settin gs > Templates. From the li st site
managers can:
Edit a Template by cl icking Edit, eit h er to update it or save it as a ne w Template. See Adding &
editing Templat es. Note that any changes will n ot be used in current ca lls but only for new calls.
Delete Templates th at are not in use: select t he Template and click Delete selected.
Create a new Template b y clicking Add template. See Add ing & editing Templates. You can
also use an existing Tem plate, change its set tings and then click Save as.
