Terminal emulator program operations

Restarting the Content S erver using a PC conne cted to the serial port

1. Connect the supplied serial cable from the seri al port on the back of the C on tent Server to the
serial port on a PC.
2. Start a terminal emulat or program on the PC by g oing to All Programs > Acce ssories >
Communications > HyperTerminal. (If HyperTerminal is n ot installed, download a terminal
emulator program from the Internet; for exam ple, puTTY.)
3. Open a new connection an d enter a name for the conn ection.
4. Configure the connection to use the PC’s serial port as follows:
a. Set Baud rate to 115200 bps.
b. Set Data bits to 8.
c. Set Parity to Non e.
d. Set Stop bits to 1.
e. Set Flow control (hardware and software) to No ne.
5. Click OK.
6. Press Enter to display the main menu.
