SIP settings
Registration
status
Displays the statu s of Content Server’s
registration with t he SIP registrar.
Click View all SIP registrations to
display a page showing all the system
and Recording alias reg istration detail s.

SIP enabled
Select to enable regi stration with a SIP
registrar. SIP i s n ot available for a clust er.
Enter the SIP dis play name, SIP
address (URI), Server address and
choose the Transport.
SIP display
name
The Content Server’s S IP display name.
This is presented as a description of the
SIP URI by the SIP reg i strar to other
systems.
SIP address
(URI)
Other systems can ca l l the Content Server
using the SIP Address or URI (Uniform
Resource Identifier) i f the Content S erver
is registered to a SI P registrar. The
Recording alias sp eci fied in the Default
Recording aliases below is used for the
call.

discovery
Always Manual.
Server
address
The IP address or DNS name of the SIP
registrar.
When changing the add ress of the SIP
registrar, you need to change the server
address in all SIP URIs of Recording
aliases; for examp le, from
SIPalias@SIP.registrar.1 to
SIPalias@SIP.registrar.2.
Server type
Always Auto, which supports registering to
standard SIP registrars such as
OpenSIPS.
Transport
The transport protoco l for SIP. The defau l t
is TCP (Transmission Con trol Protocol).
UDP (User Datagram Prot ocol) can also
be used.
User name
The user name to authen ticate to the SIP
registrar.
Password/Pa s
sword confirm
The password to auth enticate to the SIP
registrar.
Authentication
Authentication
Choose the authent i cation method for th e
Content Server.
If you select either Do main or LDAP
authentication , expand the LDAP server
section and enter t h e details of a Microsoft
Active Directory server. To enter details for
more than one LDAP ser ver, click Add
LDAP server. Currently, on ly Microsoft
Active Directory Ser ver is supported .
Clicking Save checks the LDAP server
There are three modes of authentication
(for more information see
Understanding g r oup s and users):
Local: Only users with valid local
accounts added th r ou gh the Groups &
users page can log in . Local groups are
not supported.
Domain: Users with dom ai n acco unts
and local users are abl e t o log in. The
local administrat or account can be used
