Advanced
H.323 settings
Use static
ports
Deselected by defaul t . This means that th e
ports to use are allocat ed dynamically
when opening a TCP/UDP connection.
Static ports can be enabled by select ing
the check box and specifying the
required Port range. This may be
necessary if the Cont ent Server is to
make calls through a firewall.
Port range
3230 to 3270 is the standard firewall port
range: select th e range appropriate to your
local firewall settings.
NAT
Network Address Tran sl ation (NAT) is
used when the Conten t Server is
connected to a rout er with NAT support.
The default settin g is Off.
If On, the Content Server u ses the
specified NAT address in place of it s
own IP address withi n Q.931 and
H.245.
If set to Auto, the Content Server tries t o
determine whether t he NAT address or
the real IP address should be used.
This makes it possi ble to call endpoints
on both sides of the N A T router.
If you select either On or Auto, enter the
NAT address.
NAT address
The global, external ad dress to a router
with NAT support.
In the router, the following ports must be
routed to the syst em ’s IP address:
Port 1720 for a stand al one
Content Server. If th e Content
Server is in a clust er, the ports
specified as the non -live and live
Q.931 ports in the G atekeeper
settings section above.
