Configuring Statistics Collection
Configuring Statistics CollectionAfter parameters have been set, right click to choose one of the following options:
•Edit Current Collection Parameters—Allows current collection parameters to be ed ite d.
•Edit with Default Paramete r s—A ll ows cu rr en t co llection parameters to be e di ted w i th d e fa ul t
parameters.
•Edit with Template—Allows editing with template.
•Delete Template—Allows you to del e te a tem p l ate.
•Disable Collection Statistics —Allows you to disable collection statistics.
•Start Collection—Te l ls th e Stat ist i cs Mana ge r to be gi n coll e cti ng sta tis t ics fro m t he sele cte d no des ,
if the node has statistics enab led .
•Stop Collection—Tells the Statistics Ma nger to stop collecting from the selected nodes, if statis tics
are already being collected.
•Stats DB Host Configuration—Sets statistics parameters for the File and Database, including Save
Statistics Files, Purge File, and Purge Interval.

Parameter Description
Collection Period Specify the interval value (in mi nu te s) where
statistics are gathered from the n et wor k. Th e
collection period refers to t he ti me it takes to
create a stats file. The file will include m ultiple
buckets.
The default is 15 minutes.
Time-Out Period Specify the time-out value (in minutes for TFTP
GET requests. Increase this value on busy
networks. Busy networks should be configured
for a high value.
The default is 120 minutes.
Bucket Interval Specify the Bucket Interval Perio d valu e (in
minutes) to be kept for the single bucket on the
node.
The default is 15 minutes.
Number of Retries Specify the number of retries the child process
makes in attempting to get file s from the network.
The default is 3 retries.
