Configuring Summary Reports
When the Include Peak Data button is enabled, the percen t peak values of the total traffic tr an s mit te d
and received for a selected port are d isp la yed along with the average values in th e sa me graph. The
average raw counts are displa yed i n tab ul ar for m. Th e st ati sti c type s us ed to pl ot th is repor t a re based on
the port type. The Report Application retrieves peak instances (within the plot period) of all statistic
types from the datab as e a n d c alculates the followin g:
Peak number of bytes received from th e ne two rk (i n pe rc en tag e of p o rt s p eed ) = ( p eak n u m be r of
bits received per second / port speed) * 100
Peak number of bytes tr ansmitted to the ne tw or k ( in percentage of port sp eed) = (peak number o f
bits transmitted per second / port speed) * 100
Select Port for Report Pane
The Select Port for Report pane is comprised of the following components:
Clear Button
Click on this button to cl ear t he Port Identifier pane and return to the defau lt settin gs .
Filter Button
Click on this button to po pul at e th e Port Identifier pane with the ports matching t he re po rt fil te r opt io ns
you specified.

Port Type

A set of toggle buttons corresponding to the port types supported (Frame Relay, ATM, and Voi ce) are
displayed in this area. By default, all port types are selected.
Node Name
Specify the node name for the local end point in this field. Click on the ... button to display the
Node:Shelf Selection window. Select the node name and corresponding shelf name from this window.
The default is all nodes (the field is blank).
