Chapter3 Network Topology Using the Network Topology Menus
Admin
The Admin option displays a telnet s ess i on w in d ow to co n nec t to the selected node in t he cu r re nt
submap.
Node Resync
The Node Resync option displays the Node Resync Progress dialog for the selected node in the current
submap.
VSI Partition
The VSI Partition option displays the VSI Partition dialog box for the selected node in the current
submap.
Equipment Viewer
To bring up the Equipment Viewer window, first select the node you would like to view from the left
panel of the CWM Topology expanded tree, and then select the Equipment Viewer option from the
Node submenu. The Equipment Viewer window appears, with a Diagnostic pull down menu t hat has
Running BERT and BERT Test options for viewing di ag no stics on the selecte d no d e.
Cisco View
The CiscoView option that is accessed from the Actions sub-menu (versus the Apps pull-down menu,
as described in this chap ter under the section titled , "Apps Menu"), brings u p a CiscoView window that
allows you to select a device for a particular node in which to view Telnet, C CO, Cisco Support,
Preferences, About, and Help information.
XPVC Preferred Cnf
XPVC Preferred Cnf is a tool that allows users to add, modify or delete data to or from the xpvc_Pref
table. If there is no entry, then no provisioning can be done. This xpvc_preferred data is used by
Connection Manage r a nd the Proxy subsyste m f o r t he provisioning of X P V Cs .
The XPVC Preferred Cnf option brings up the XPVC Table Configurator dialog box with XPVC
Preferred data displayed as Active Entries (contains all of the current Active entries in the
xpvc_preferred table) or Inactive Entries.
Note When a user selects an Active entry a nd clicks on the Delete button, and an xpvc connection exist s which
was provisioned using this en tr y, it wi ll be marked as "Inactive" and d is p la ye d as "Inactive Entries".
Nodes are listed by Node Name, with Primar y Li nk an d Secondary Link information presented in
neighboring rows. The I s Pref er red co lu mn s h ows wh et her a XPVC connection is or i s n ot p re fe rred .
Refresh Display, Add Entry, Modify Entry, and Delete Entry options are found at the bottom of the
XPVC Preferred Cnf dialog box and are used against the xpvc_preferred table. The protocol type is
automatically assigned as XPV C , p r ovi de d th at all u s er en d points that are selected in the A R network
have a xpvc_preferred table entry with the preferred flag set.
Note CWM will attempt XPVC pr ov is i on ing on the node or its f ee ders, provided that all user endpoints that
are selected in the AR network h ave an A ct ive xpv c _ pref er r ed t abl e e nt r y wi th th e preferred flag set.
