UNIT/CIRCUIT CARD REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

3.3.4PWR Card Replacement Procedure

The PWR (PA-PW55-A/PA-PW55-B) and DPWR (PA-PW54-A/PA-PW54-B) cards are mounted respectively in Slot No. 1 and Slot No. 3 of each PIM. The card’s main function is to provide operating power to the circuit cards accommodated in the PIM. The procedures to replace the PWR/DPWR card are as follows:

Turn ON the MB key on the PWR/DPWR card to be replaced.

Turn OFF the -48V SW on the card to be replaced.

Disconnect the power cable from the -48V IN connector.

Extract the card to be replaced.

Turn OFF the -48V SW on the new card.
