236 IP Routing Configuration and Management

Description

 

 

RtrPriority

The priority of the interface. Used in

 

multi-access networks, this field is used in

 

the designated router election algorithm.

 

The value 0 signifies that the router is not

 

eligible to become the designated router

 

on this network. In the event of a tie in this

 

value, routers will use their Router ID as a tie

 

breaker. This is an integer value between 0

 

and 255.

 

 

DesignatedRouter

The IP address of the Designated Router.

 

 

BackupDesignatedRouter

The IP address of the Backup Designated

 

Router.

 

 

Type

The OSPF interface type. The options

 

available are: broadcast or passive.

 

 

AuthType

The interface authentication type. The

 

options available are: none, simplePassword,

 

or md5.

 

 

AuthKey

The interface authentication key. This key is

 

for when AuthType is simplePassword.

 

 

PrimaryMd5Key

The MD5 primary key if it exists. Otherwise

 

this field will display 0.

 

 

HelloInterval

The interval in seconds between the Hello

 

packets sent by the router on this interface.

 

This value must be the same for all routers

 

attached to a common network. This is an

 

integer value between 1 and 65535.

 

 

TransitDelay

The estimated number of seconds it takes to

 

transmit a link state update packet over this

 

interface. This is an integer value between

 

0 and 3600.

 

 

RetransInterval

The number of seconds between link

 

state advertisement retransmissions for

 

adjacencies belonging to this interface.

 

This value is also used when retransmitting

 

database description and link state request

 

packets. This is an integer value between

 

0 and 3600.
