5.4Status Indication

After the printer has been set up, a new printer window will be displayed.

This section explains the various items and possible status displayed in the printer window.

[Document Name]

Name of the print file.

[Status]

Status of the printer.

The various kinds of status listed below will be displayed only when a print job is sent from a PC with a port setup by Direct Print Utility. They will not be displayed if printing is sent from a shared computer via the PC setup with the port to the printer shared over a network.

Printing*

The printer is printing.

Sending

Print data is being sent to the printer.

Unable to print (Network Error)

The printer is unable to print.

Either the power is off or there is a problem in the network.

When Network Error occurs, printing cannot be automatically re-executed.

Unable to print (Spool Error)

The printer is unable to print.

Either disk capacity is insufficient while spooling the file to be printed or an error arises in the spool file.

When Spool Error occurs, printing cannot be automatically re-executed. After solving the problem, printing will be re-executed once the machine is activated.

Deleting

A document is being deleted.

Spooling*

The Print Manager is storing a print file to the memory (hard disk).

Pause

The process of printing or sending is stopped temporarily.

To enable printing to restart, select Pause Printing from the "Document" menu of the "Printer" window.
