Using Overlays

You can use the overlay feature to combine data for printing.
For example, you can first a create an overlay for a blank form and store it in the printer. Later, you can
send the data for the form to the printer to print out the data with the form.
Here, we will explain the process by printing from Word on Windows 98 as an example.
Depending on the application software, the way to display the printer properties dialog box might be
different. Check the manual for the application software used.

C.1 Creating an Overlay

First of all, create the overlay.
Procedure
Using the application software, create the
form.
From the File menu, select Print.
Check that the correct printer is used at the
Name list box, and then click Properties.
The printer properties dialog box appears.
Click the Overlays tab.
Create Create Overlay.
The Create Page Overlay dialog box appears.
