Field | Description |
|
|
|
|
Channel | Specifies the channel for the radio in the |
| access point. The number of available |
| channels varies by radio, mode, and |
| country. Here are the guidelines: |
| - At the Auto setting, the access point sets |
| the channel automatically. The access |
| point listens on the channels and selects |
| the one with the least traffic. This is the |
| default setting. |
| - You can select a channel from the pull- |
| down menu. You may select only one |
| channel. |
| - The Auto selection is not available if you |
| use the cluster feature to automatically |
| assign the channels to the radios in the |
| access points. For information, refer to |
| “Using Automatic Channel Assignments” |
| on page 103. |
|
|
Station Isolation | Enables or disables station isolation. |
| When station isolation is enabled, the |
| access point does not allow the wireless |
| clients of a VAP to communicate with |
| each other, but does allow them to |
| communicate with clients in other VAPs |
| and with the wired LAN. |
| The feature is disabled when the dialog |
| box is empty and enabled when the dialog |
| box has a check mark. The default setting |
| is disabled. |
| To activate or deactivate the feature, click |
| the dialog box to insert or remove the |
| check mark. |
