„The AU-BS Access Unit can serve up to 512 Subscriber Units (124 when Data Encryption is used).

„The AUS-BS Access Unit can serve up to 8 SUs except SU-54 (refer to section

1.3for details on availability of SU types in different bands). Optionally, it

may be licensed to support also SU-54 units (in bands where SU-54 unit type is available. SU-54 is not available in the 0.9 GHz band).

NOTE

For convenience, all references to AU-BS are applicable also for AUS-BS, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The AU-ODU outdoor unit contains the processing and radio modules and connects to an external antenna using a short RF cable.

There are two types of AU-ODUs:

E model units are supplied without an antenna.
