9.If you’re trying to switch channels through the on-screen display system, make sure that the User-Interface Card to which your console is attached is in fact a UICD. If it is, verify that you can get the Command-Line- Entry Window to appear (see Section 9.2.4). If you can, make sure that you don’t have menu activation turned OFF (see Section 9.2.3.B).

10.Make sure that the affected computer’s CPU-Interface Card is configured properly; see Sections 4.1 and 4.2.

11.1.4A COMPUTER CHANNEL CAN BE SELECTED, BUT YOURE NOT GETTING ANY VIDEO FROM THE COMPUTER

1.Make sure that your console’s monitor hasn’t gone into “screen saver” mode.

2.Make sure that the selected computer is actually supposed to be outputting video at this point.

3.Make sure that your console’s shared monitor is plugged in, turned ON, and receiving adequate power.

4.Make sure that the selected computer and all ServSwitch Multis in your system are plugged in, turned ON, and receiving adequate power.

5.Make sure that all of the Interface Cards and Expansion Cards between your console and the computer are plugged in completely and that their connecting screws are tight.

6.Check the affected computer’s Server Cable. Make sure that all its connections, especially the strand that runs to the computer’s video port, are tight and secure.

7.Make sure that the affected computer’s CPU-Interface Card is configured properly; see Sections 4.1 and 4.2.

11.1.5COMPUTER VIDEO CAN BE SEEN BUT IS DISTORTED, DISCOLORED, OUT OF SYNC, OR OTHERWISE DEGRADED

1.Make sure that your console’s shared monitor, the selected computer, and all ServSwitch Multis in your system are plugged in properly and receiving adequate power.

2.Make sure that all of the Interface Cards and Expansion Cards between your console and the computer are plugged in completely and that their connecting screws are tight.

3.Make sure that the total cable distance from the console to the affected computer is not more than 500 feet (152.4 m).

4.Check the affected computer’s Server Cable. Make sure that all its connections, especially the strand that runs to the computer’s video port, are tight and secure.

5.Make sure the monitor can accept the resolution, refresh rate, and sync of the video stream you’re trying to display on it.

6.Make sure that the affected computer’s CPU-Interface Card is configured properly, especially if the computer is outputting sync on green. See Sections 4.1 and 4.2.

7.Make sure that the distance jumpers on any Transmit and Receive Cards between the console and the computer are set properly; see Section 6.3.2.
